What this guide covers

Add the CNAME record to app.ispbills.com in Namecheap Advanced DNS to connect your custom Partner domain.

On this page

Use this if your domain is registered at Namecheap using BasicDNS. See Connect a Custom Domain for the general rule.

Steps

  1. Sign in to Namecheap and open Domain List.
  2. Select Manage next to your domain, then open the Advanced DNS tab.
  3. Under Host Records, select Add New Record.
  4. Set the fields:
    • Type: CNAME Record
    • Host: your subdomain only, e.g. billing
    • Value / Target: app.ispbills.com
    • TTL: Automatic
  5. Select the green tick to save.
  6. Return to Partner → Domains, add your hostname and select Verify DNS.

The Host field is the subdomain only. @ means the root domain, but the root cannot be a CNAME alongside other records — use a subdomain such as billing..

This works only when the domain uses Namecheap BasicDNS (shown under Nameservers as “Namecheap BasicDNS”). If you use custom nameservers or Namecheap PremiumDNS / Web Hosting DNS, add the CNAME in that DNS zone instead.
