On this page
ISPbills plan checkout accepts promotional voucher codes. A valid code can reduce eligible subscription, setup-fee, add-on, or other product and service charges. The checkout summary shows the reduction before registration or payment.
Apply a code at checkout
- Open the required plan checkout and choose the currency, subscriber capacity, device quantities, and optional add-ons.
- Enter the code in Voucher code and select Apply.
- Review the confirmation, discount line, and updated Total due. Applying a code keeps the current checkout selections.
- Select Continue to sign up and finish account registration and payment.
Select Remove to return to the undiscounted quote. A code that is inactive, scheduled for a later date, expired, fully redeemed, or invalid for the selected currency is reported as unavailable.
One-time and recurring vouchers
| Duration | How it works |
|---|---|
| One time | Reduces the first eligible invoice only. It is then marked as used for that account. |
| Recurring | Reduces every future eligible invoice while the account-level discount remains applicable. |
A voucher applies only to the charge categories selected when it was created. For example, a subscription-only voucher does not reduce a setup fee or an add-on. Percentage vouchers reduce the eligible amount by the configured percentage. Fixed-amount vouchers are limited to their configured currency and never reduce a charge below zero.
Each account can redeem a voucher once. A global maximum-redemption limit, start time, expiry time, and active status can also restrict availability.
Create and manage voucher codes
Only the platform Developer can manage public checkout vouchers.
- Sign in as Developer and open Voucher Codes.
- Select New Voucher Code.
- Enter a code using letters, numbers, hyphens, or underscores. ISPbills stores it in uppercase.
- Choose Percentage or Fixed amount and enter the value. A fixed amount also requires its checkout currency.
- Choose One time — first eligible invoice or Recurring — every eligible invoice.
- Select one or more eligible categories: Subscription, Setup fee, Add-ons, or Other products & services.
- Optionally set maximum redemptions, a start time, and an expiry time, then keep Active enabled and create the voucher.
The voucher list shows discount, duration, eligible categories, uses, and current status. An unused voucher can be deleted. A voucher with redemption history is deactivated instead, preserving its audit trail and the discounts already granted to accounts.
Troubleshooting
| Message or symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| The code is invalid, expired, or unavailable | Confirm spelling, active dates, redemption capacity, and the selected checkout currency. |
| The code applies but some lines do not change | The unchanged lines are outside the voucher’s eligible categories. |
| A fixed discount does not work after changing currency | Fixed-amount vouchers work only in their configured currency. Use the matching currency or another code. |
| A one-time discount is absent from a later invoice | One-time vouchers are consumed by the first eligible invoice; they are not monthly offers. |
| A recurring discount is missing | Confirm the invoice contains an eligible category, then contact support with the account and voucher code. |
