Choose the correct ISPbills connection and billing model when creating a customer

ISPbills combines a connection type with a billing type. The common operating models are:
1. PPPoE + Daily Billing
Use this prepaid model when an operator or reseller recharges a PPPoE account for a chosen validity, such as 7 or 15 days. No monthly bill is generated automatically on the first day of the month. The account expires when its validity ends and can be recharged after payment.
2. PPPoE + Monthly Billing
Use this postpaid model for a monthly billing cycle. Bills can be generated automatically under the assigned billing profile, and payment extends or restores service according to that profile. Keep router control with the ISP so customer state remains consistent with ISPbills.
3. Hotspot
Use Hotspot for captive-portal or Wi-Fi-zone access. Customers can register or authenticate through the portal and pay with a supported online gateway or recharge card. Availability depends on the configured router, package, SMS verification, and supported hotspot payment gateway.
4. Static IP + Monthly Billing
Use Static IP for a customer that needs a fixed address, commonly a business or corporate connection. Only a Group Admin can select Static IP on the current customer-creation form.
5. Other
Use Other for a manually managed non-internet service such as cable TV. It supports service and billing records but does not provide an automatic network lock by itself.
Create a customer with the selected type
- Open Customers → All Customers and select New Customer.
- Enter the identity, contact, address, and required map coordinates.
- Select PPPoE, Hotspot, Static IP (Group Admin only), or Other, then select Next.
- Choose the billing profile and package offered by the following steps.
- Enter the required technical information, including the username and password when requested, review the record, and finish creation.
The form shows only options permitted for the signed-in role. Package, billing profile, router, and RADIUS preparation should be completed before creating production customers.
